Transport: Planes

Ohare (ORD) Midway (MDW): Either port will do. Both equally close to downtown. The "El" serves ORD with the BLUE line. Catch the Orange from MDW.

Transport: Trains

The "El" is fast, cheap and pretty easy to navigate around the city. Get your rail pass at the station and explore. Connecting train service is also available to the burbs (via Metra) and beyond (via Amtrak).

Transport: Autos

Cabs are ubiquitous in Chicago. Fares are reasonable. But if you got the time and sense of adventure a trip on the "el" is usually more entertaining. Yellow Cab is one of the larger cab providers. They can be reached by dialing 312.TaxiCab.

Transport: Peds

If you're good with outerwear Chicago is a walking city. A hike to a couple of the city's gardens offers a good chance to take in the skyline and native plants. Millennium Park makes a fine focal point for any city stroll. Bikes are also available on an hourly basis at the park in the event you're itching to explore a longer stretch of the trail along Lake Shore Drive and Lake Michigan.

Eats: Orange

Brunch

Orange
The decor lives up to the name of this breakfast fave. Smells from the juice bar provide a perky start to a good breakfast. Craft your own juice before you make your way through the creative menu. Neera advocates the Eggs Benedict. Michael prefers the coconut-infused French Toast Kabobs. The Green Eggs and Ham and the orange infused coffee are better in print than in your mouth. Most anything else on the menu is worth the wait.

Sip on a bit of the good juice in Bucktown where chill and knowledgeable staff wade you through a fine selection of fermented grapes.

Goose Island

This pub offers grub, but is better equipped to quench your beer thirst.

Lux Bar
Gold Coast sliders and a fine libation sound pretty good right now. The wedding party will be well acquainted with this location before Neera and Michael tie the knot.
